etymology: fore

Hey all,
In the 1600's golf was considered a gentlemen's game, only for the wealthy. Since golf balls were so expensive, players would hire "forecaddies" to stand where the ball should land on their tee shots. Golfers would yell to their forecaddie to alert them the ball was coming. Later, the term was simply shortened to fore and was adopted by all golfers.
